Abstract Awards

Dr. Sudhir Diwan discusses the judging process for the abstract awards. Dr. Diwan explains that they received more than 100 abstracts for this ASIPP meeting, from which 10 abstracts are chosen for an in-depth discussion amongst the judges and moderators. He explains that each abstract presented highly impressive and scientific information, but only the top 10 were presented. After, the judges and moderators chose the three best abstracts in the following categories: 1) best fellow/resident 2) best clinician, and 3) best scientist. This competition motivates residents, fellows, and physicians to be more engaged in science.
