Caudal Lysis Procedure with Interview
Dr. Racz give a preoperative, lower extremity examination and reviews the patient’s history and symptoms, which includes lower lumbar stenosis and bulging discs, before a caudal lysis procedure. The attending physician, under Dr. Racz’s supervision, advances the catheter to the targeted L4-L5 stenotic area.

Dr. Racz himself then advances the catheter more ventrally, by adding the correct bend to the tip of the catheter. The catheter location is confirmed with contrast, which is then followed by a hyaluronidase injection opening the stenotic area. All of this is observed under the fluoroscopic guidance.
