After reviewing the required equipment, Dr. Racz begins the procedure by entering the patient and checking the needle placement. A lateral view of the caudal hiatus is used. However, a different approach must be used for this patient. Thus, a transgrade approach is next attempted to access the epidural space. This is successful.
