Neuromodulation for Pelvic Pain
Dr. Ashish Shetty presents the potential of neuromodulation as a treatment option for pelvic pain. Dr. Shetty presents a case report of a 54-year-old woman who received a retrograde/antegrade lead implanted in her sacrum and reported >80% pain relief at a three-month follow-up and 95% pain relief at up to 36 months. Dr. Shetty describes the various neuromodulation modalities being implemented at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and discusses their evidence base, experiences, and limitations of neuromodulation.
