Facetogenic Low Back Pain

Dr. Jee Youn Moon discusses facetogenic low back pain. Dr. Moon discusses the rationale for the injectate volume in prognostic lumbar medial branch block (MBB). She presents her research on using a lower volume for intra-vascular uptake in MBBs to increase specificity but notes that this can decrease sensitivity. Dr. Moon recommends an ideal volume for facet blocks and the number of blocks that should be used before RF ablation. She also discusses the use of sensory and motor stimulation during RF ablation.
