Dr. Al-Kaisy explains that while spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has been a traditional practice area for neuromodulation, it has limitations in targeted relief. He discusses treating chronic pain conditions with dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation as an emerging legitimate procedure. He describes and illustrates in detail the transgrade technique and presents clinical data from various studies. He discusses the DRAGON study providing proof of concept in a prospective Phase 2 trial. He also talks about the concept of combined SCS and DRG and introduces the PHANTOM study.
