A provider of pain control, particularly controlled substances, is challenged with daily decisions about need, misuse, and yes, misprescribing. When a referral is sent our way, tough question arise. After all, we are the specialists, right? We got it from here. Not so fast.... Almost always, a clinicians judgement and experience defines clinical care. It's not always in a textbook.
