Dr. Serdar Erdine discusses ethics and interventional pain. He describes the four principles of ethics in medicine: autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice. He says there is a crisis in pain care, and it is time for change. For instance, there has been inappropriate application of evidence-based medicine and use of unproven methods. Conflicts of interest are also an ethical issue. These issues and more are elaborated on.
