Sacroiliac Steroid Injection

Dr. Kenneth Chapman performs a sacroiliac (SI) injection with the aid of fluoroscopic guidance. With a 25 gauge needle, he first injects contrast, which outlines the small space of the SI joint. He then injects a combination of dexamethasone and Marcaine. He briefly explains the correct alignment of the bony structures of the SI joint to ensure correct needle advancement.
