Caudal Neuroplasty
Founder and president of the World Institute of Pain Dr. Gabor Racz walks us through a caudal neuroplasty procedure. Dr. Racz starts by highlighting common catheterization errors and how to avoid them, including needle and catheter insertion and navigation of scar tissue. He goes on to describe L5/S1 transforaminal catheterization techniques, including the benefits of curved needles as “percutaneous navigation devices.” Dr. Racz concludes with a discussion of patient outcomes from different segmental levels of lysis treatments.

Bartos x Stogicza – T2-3 Sympathetic RFA
This live patient T2-3 sympathetic radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedure is performed by Dr. Agnes Stogicza. First, Dr. Balazs Bartos introduces the patient and describes her history. The patient first suffered an injury following a fall and had experienced muscle loss following several surgical procedures. The patient tells Dr. Bartos where her pain is and demonstrates her range of motion. Dr. Stogicza then does the T2-3 sympathetic RFA surgery. Dr. Stogicza demonstrates how important very slight movements of the needle can be important.
