Conus Infarct Warning
This is the first reported infarct following TFESI using dexamethasone. This only underscores the importance of using BLUNT needles for TFESI’s. The “safe triangle” is NOT SAFE. You need to start using Kambin’s triangle as your target for TFESI and use blunt needles only. This is the ONLY way to prevent these devastating outcomes.
Please think about this case every time you perform a TFESI with a sharp needle!
