This congress is aimed at all medical pain professional figures, both medical specialists, such as anesthetist, orthopedist, neurosurgeon, physiatrist, general practitioners, and last but not least, our nurses, who want to strengthen their technical skills or who want to get a good overview of the main topics of interest in pain medicine.

You will have the opportunity to learn the main characteristics of chronic pain and its treatment. The basic notions will be provided in order to be able to conduct an accurate “assessment” of a patient with chronic pain.

Some topics of frequent interest are also be featured, such as the main minimally invasive interventional treatments and possible complications. Fortunately, medical science is meeting in this field, proposing ever new drugs and techniques, such as radiofrequency and spinal cord stimulation.

Just as the treatment of the primary pathology requires the intervention of a specialist, pain in its complexity also requires the intervention of the pain therapy specialist, who must not only be able to correlate it to a correct diagnosis, but also administer appropriate analgesic drugs including opiates, perform minimally invasive interventional treatments and manage the patient also from a psychological point of view, assisting therapy and promoting social integration.

Lectures presented in Italian will be accompanied by AI-generated English subtitles. While we strive for accuracy, the subtleties of language may lead to minor discrepancies in translation. We encourage viewers to consider this when accessing these valuable resources.
