Two Needle Technique for Lumbar Discogram
Dr. Harold Cordner demonstrates a two-needle technique for a lumbar discogram. By using an introducer, he explains, the needle entering the disc does not come in contact with the skin’s normal flora, lessening the chance of infection. He then shows how to properly visualize the disc fluoroscopically for needle advancement as well as adding a slight bend to the needle for steerability.
