Dr. Fabricio Dias Assis discusses transforaminal procedures and the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) at the 24th Annual Gabor Racz Pain Conference and Workshop. The DRG plays an important role in responses to injury and is a therapeutic target for chronic pain. What procedures can be used to target the DRG? One technique is a transforaminal approach, which allows for more precision than other methods. Catheters can even be used with a transforaminal approach. Radiofrequency procedures are also discussed.
