Dr. Ramsin Benyamin lectures on advocacy and insurance issues in pain medicine. Pain physicians face many obstacles including preauthorization. Lack of coverage for Medicare patients and dual eligibility can also pose a problem. Dr. Benyamin believes transparency by insurance companies is critical in resolving some of these issues. Advocacy to raise awareness about these issues is also important.
