Dr. Miles Day discusses the process of preparing a virtual conference and mentions that the pain management meetings serve as preparatory courses for the Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) exam. Dr. Day describes current challenges, which include obtaining video of actual procedures that would normally be demonstrated live during in-person conferences. Due to Covid restrictions, in-person conferences have become harder to organize, although these types of meetings typically provide cadaver demonstrations that previously allowed participants to watch procedures being performed during in-person sessions. Active steps are being taken to adapt to the virtual arena and the finalization of the scientific committee for the upcoming conference in Budapest is also underway.
