Biography

Professor Yong Chul Kim has received his Ph.D. from from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1996 and completed his resident training in Anesthesiology and pain medicine at Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH). He has been working for SNUH as a professor since 2002. Professor Kim has done research using minimally invasive spine surgery at Stanford University Medical Center as a visiting scholar. He has accomplished brilliant research achievements and clinical expertise in minimally invasive Spine procedures, especially on pain control for chronic refractory pain patients. Professor Kim has served as the Director of Department of Pain Medicine in SNUH (2006-Present), and as the President of The Korean Pain Society (2014- Present).
