Professor Dr. Serdar Erdine was born in Tosya in 1954. He finished primary school in 1965 at Kasımpaşa Cezayirli Hasan Pasha primary school. He graduated from Kadıköy Maarif College in 1972. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1978 and became an assistant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation in Istanbul Medical Faculty in the same year. In 1992, he became an Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialist. He did his military service in the Turkish Cypriot Peace Corps between 1982-83. Between 1983-86, he performed compulsory service at SSK Okmeydanı Hospital.

In 1986 he returned to Istanbul by taking the title of Associate Professor Faculty of Medicine and received his professorship title in Turkey in the first year kurdu.1991 pain unit. In the same year, he founded the first Algology Department of our country and became its president. He continued this duty between 1991-2011. In 2012, he received the title of Algology specialist. He still continues his studies at the Istanbul Pain Center.
