He says that most patients (75%) have significant and sustained pain relief following percutaneous PNS. Research supports the use of this stimulation technique for multiple types of pain. Percutaneous PNS is also less risky than radiofrequency ablations. Percutaneous PNS even helps with phantom pain and may reduce transitions to chronic pain.
